چکیده
Agricultural production is a major source of carbon dioxide (CO2) and nitrous oxide (N2O) globally. The effects conservation practices on soil CO2 N2O emissions remain high degree uncertainty. In this study, under different residue tillage in an irrigated, continuous corn system, were investigated using the Root Zone Water Quality Model (RZWQM2). Combinations no/high stover removal (NR HR, respectively) no-till/conventional (NT CT, field experiments tested over four crop-years (Apr. 2011–Apr. 2015). model was calibrated NRCT, validated with other treatments. simulation results showed that volumetric water content (VWC) NR treatments (i.e., NRCT NRNT) 1.3%–1.9% higher than HR HRCT HRNT) averaged across years. A amount simulated years (annual average: 7034 kg C/ha/yr for 3.8 N/ha/yr N2O), lower HRNT 6329 3.7 N2O). long-term (2001–2015) suggested closely correlated (SRD), tillage, VWC, temperature (ST), management (Y), fertilizer application. Stover had cumulative emissions. annual 1st year from NRNT, 7.8%, 0.0%, 7.7% HRNT, respectively; then 15th 63.6%, 47.7%, 29.1% higher, respectively. Meanwhile, there no also demonstrated RZWQM2 promising tool evaluating practices.

Tillage and field scale controls on greenhouse gas emissions.
There is a lack of understanding of how associations among soil properties and management-induced changes control the variability of greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions from soil. We performed a laboratory investigation to quantify relationships between GHG emissions and soil indicators in an irrigated agricultural field under standard tillage (ST) and a field recently converted (2 yr) to no-tillage...
متن کاملIntegrative impacts of soil tillage on crop yield, N use efficiency and greenhouse gas emission in wheat-corn cropping system
Wheat-corn cropping system is one of the most important grain production systems in theworld. However, the integrative impacts of soil tillage on crop yield, N use efficiency (NUE)and greenhouse gases (GHGS) emissions are not well documented in this system. Thus, a twoyear field experiment was carried out in a typical wheat-corn cropping system with four tillageregimes during the wheat season, ...
متن کاملTillage effects on energy use and greenhouse gas emission in wheat-cotton rotation
Crop production process utilizes input energy and produces some biomass energy as output. During this process, greenhouse gases (GHGs) are also emitted which can make environmental risks. In this study, input and output energies, energy indices, and GHG emissions arising from inputs were estimated for wheat-cotton rotation under different tillage practices in Fars province. The study was condu...
متن کاملResidue Placement and Rate, Crop Species, and Nitrogen Fertilization Effects on Soil Greenhouse Gas Emissions
High variability due to soil heterogeneity and climatic conditions challenge measurement of greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions as influenced by management practices in the field. To reduce this variability, we examined the effect of management practices on CO2, N2O, and CH4 fluxes and soil temperature and water content from July to November, 2011 in a greenhouse. Treatments were incomplete combinat...
